Rebecca has an extensive
background in counseling and natural health care.
She graduated with honors with a BA from University
of Massachusetts. In 1979 completed a 9 week residential
training in Polarity Therapy. In 1980 she received
her Certification in Swedish and Shiatsu massage
from the International School of Massage Therapy
in San Francisco where she also taught classes in
Polarity. In 1989 she also completed the Shiatsu
Certification program at the Desert Institute of
Healing Arts in Tucson. She is a member and Registered
Polarity Practitioner certified by the APTA and a
member and Registered Shiatsu Practitioner certified
by the AOBTA.
She
has done social work with adolescent girls and was
the Director of the Publications Department at Hippocrates
Health Institute in Boston. She has had a part time
private practice in Body-Mind Therapies for over
20 years along with running several businesses distributing
inspirational cards, music, and aroma therapy products.
In her travels she has also studied and worked with
transactional analysis, gestalt, psychodrama, psychosynthesis,
re-evaluation co-counseling and other cutting edge
modalities. She draws on all of these to facilitate
release and re-emergence of the playful, loving,
joyful child within us all.
